Renal Function

Why is this important

The Renal Blood Test provides an overview of important markers used to assess kidney function and electrolyte balance.

🫘 Kidney Function – Creatinine, urea and eGFR provide information about how effectively the kidneys are filtering waste from the blood.

💧 Fluid & Electrolyte Balance – Sodium and chloride are important electrolytes that help regulate fluid balance and support normal nerve and muscle function.

🔬 eGFR – Estimated glomerular filtration rate is used as an indicator of how well the kidneys are filtering blood.

🧪 Creatinine & Urea – These are waste products removed from the body by the kidneys. Measuring them alongside eGFR provides a broader assessment of kidney function.

🧪 A simple, focused check of kidney function and important electrolyte levels.
